When Andy Kawa approached us to help advance her cause with a major awareness-raising drive on 14 February 2013, we were humbled by the courage of this South African mother, businesswoman and mentor to several young people who had endured “15 hours of hell” when she was abducted and raped by a gang of men on Kings Beach in Port Elizabeth.

Andy has made it her life’s mission to encourage other victims and survivors of rape and sexual violence to speak out through her organisation, Kwanele! Enuf is Enuf! And we are with her all the way on her courageous road to recovery.

The positive response from our initial media campaign has been overwhelming – from the first ‘push’ to have every South African throw their weight behind a global anti-rape initiative, called One Billion Rising, to on-going communication with government and big business. We support this initiative which highlights the incidence of rape and sexual abuse by urging all South Africans regardless of age, race or gender to make a stand against these crimes, by breaking the chain of silence.

Russell and Associates design team donated their time to design the Kwanele! Enuf is Enuf! branding, including the logo, and our consultants give freely of their time to assist with presentations, editing of letters and motivational material. Our web-designers created their website and update it on an on-going basis. We, at Russell and Associates are committed to helping break ‘the chain of silence’ surrounding rape and sexual violence.
