R&A supports Gauteng Hospice

Corporate Social Responsibility programmes do not always involve cash transactions. Russell and Associates, ever mindful of its responsibility towards the community, also uses its expertise to carry out its social responsibility. An example of this is the support that the company has given to the Hospice Association of the Witswatersrand.

Russell and Associates has for three years donated design and production time and has paid for the printing of Hospice’s annual report.

Hospice is registered as a non-profit and a public benefit organisation. It assists the terminally ill with palliative care and gives support to patients’ families.

Hospice Gauteng was inaugurated in September 1979 and has been going from strength to strength, largely through the support of volunteers. Having started off in a private home in Hurlingham, Hospice now has facilities in Houghton and in Soweto.

Hospice Soweto also gives training to community care givers to cope with the AIDS crisis in the community. Hospice’s philosophy is that everyone matters until the very last moments of their lives. Russell and Associates is proud to be associated with such a good cause.
