Forest Town Primary School

Making a difference

Russell and Associates has lent a helping hand on a number of occasions to Forest Town Primary School; most recently, when the company donated much-needed kitchen appliances. The company discovered the plight of the school through an appeal in the Forest Town suburb and decided to assist.

The project leaders are Marion Leatherbarrow who is a grant programmes manager and Lize van den Bergh who is a funding developer. The school, which was established in 1948, cares for and educates some 300 disabled and special-needs children from around Johannesburg.

"It was all about doing good around your area and to support the community," said Peter Russell.
